On the morning of February 3, Midea Refrigerator Jingzhou Industrial Park project breaks ground with a total investment of 3 billion yuan. He Guangzhong, Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee, attended and addressed the break-ground ceremony.

Zhou Zhihong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government, Bo Lin, President of Refrigerator Division of Midea Group delievered speeches.The present leaders were Duan Changlin, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Congress; Wang Shouwei, Chairman of the CPPCC Jingzhou Municipal Committee; Jiang Hong, Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary General of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee.Xiang Bin, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jingzhou Municipal Committee, and Executive Vice Mayor of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government hosted the ceremony.

Zhou Zhihong congratulated the kick off of the project on behalf of the municipal committee and municipal government, expressed heartful gratitude to Midea Group for its long-standing support on Jingzhou’s development. She noted that as a leading enterprise in the home appliance industry of China, since it settled in Jingzhou for 13 years, Midea Group have been working deligent to build Midea Refrigerator Jingzhou Factory into a largest refrigerator manufacturing base in China, which has become a famous business card for Jingzhou's industrial development. The foundation of Midea Refrigerator Industry Park , is the first step towards building 50- billion yuan white goods industry base, but also means to embarke on the new journey of building the world’s largest refrigerator manufacture base. Jingzhou will make great efforts to further optimize the business enviroment by striving to be a "waiter" who offer a hand whenever needed, coordinate and solve the difficulties encountered in project construction at the first time, thus promote the early completion production, and effection of the project.

Bo Lin expressed that the rapid implementation of the Midea Refrigerator Jingzhou New Industrial Park project credited to the support of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government. The new industrial park is an "Industry 4.0" demonstration base integrating intelligence, digitization and automation, and will be built into a world-class "lighthouse" factory in the future. Jianghan Plain, with Jingzhou as the center, has concentrated and active consumer groups with convenient and geographical advantages,which is a treasure place for building a smart home appliance industry cluster.

It is understood that Midea Refrigerator Jingzhou Industrial Park is a major smart refrigerator manufacture base which intergrating production, storage and leisure with a total investment of 3 billion yuan. After its completion, It can add an annual production capacity of 5 million units, annual revenue of 10 billion yuan, and 2,000 employments. Midea Refrigerator will build the world's largest refrigerator production base with an annual output value of 20 billion yuan in Jingzhou in next 3 to 5 years.
